Note: California Institute of Public Affairs is now a program and imprint of InterEnvironment Institute. The California Institute of Public Affairs changed its name to InterEnvironment Institute in January 2010. The Institute has published books since 1969 and participates in the Library of Congress Cataloging-in-Publication Program. Books are paperbound with plastic-coated covers and are 8½" x 11" unless otherwise indicated. All titles in print are listed below. They are divided into three categories:

World Directory of Environmental Organizations. The sixth and final print edition of this acclaimed reference book was published in 2001. The 2001 print edition is still available (ISBN 1-880028-10-7, $60.00). The online version was discontinued in February 2008.

Breaking Political Gridlock: California’s Experiment in Public-Private Cooperation for Hazardous Waste Policy. 1988. By Daniel A. Mazmanian, Michael Stanley-Jones, and Miriam Green. A study of how people usually at odds with each other - environmentalists, business leaders, and government officials - joined together in new kinds of partnerships to serve the public interest. 104 pages. Older titles in environmental policy. A number of older publications are still available from CIPA’s Environmental Studies Series (1972-), as well as the California Farmlands Project (1982-83), the California Forum on Hazardous Materials (1985-87), and the IUCN Commission on Environmental Strategy and Planning (1991-96). Lists are available.

Prices are in U.S. dollars. Send a check or a purchase order. We accept official purchase orders from libraries and governmental agencies in the United States and Canada. Otherwise, prepayment is required. If payment is included with your order, we will pay book postage in the U.S. and Canada.

Orders from outside the U.S. and Canada must include advance payment in U.S. dollars by check drawn on a U.S. domestic bank or an international money order.

A handling charge of $4.00 applies to each order (the handling charge is per order, not per book). California residents, add 8.75% sales tax.
